How do I enroll?

You may enroll in our courses online. There is an enrollment form available in the Registration section of our website. If you enroll by mail or fax, be sure to include all required residency documentation.

Will enrollment in this distance learning course appear on my college transcript?

Yes. With Dean or Academic Advisory approval and completion of the course, your grade will appear on your UF transcript, and will not be designated as a continuing education or distance education course. Some institutions have limits on the number of distance learning courses or transfer credits they will accept, and so it is your responsibility to check on the transfer of credit before enrollment.

To request a transcript visit http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/transcript.html

Can I use my financial aid?

Flexible Learning does not offer financial aid, but does accept payment from Florida Prepaid College Funding.

Degree-seeking students are advised to speak with a representative from their financial aid office.

Who needs to provide proof of residency?

Only non-University of Florida students who have established legal residency in the State of Florida need to provide this for registration.

What counts as proof of residency?

  • Florida Driver's License
  • Florida Voter Registration Card
  • Florida Vehicle Registration
  • Florida Property Tax Receipt

All of the above documents must be valid and at least one year old.

If attending a Florida college, community college or university, your institution can verify residency status on their letterhead stating that you pay in state tuition with their institution.

The “start now” feature of our innovative online courses for credit provides students with a self-paced online instructional environment while incorporating innovative learning experiences that match the lifestyle and learning preferences of today’s adult learner.

Many of the online courses for credit offered through the University of Florida Flexible Learning Program are general education (Gen. Ed.) courses that meet the Gordon Rule requirements and can be taken as non-degree seeking with the option to transfer back to the student’s home institution.
